School Trips – Many of our classes have had trips this term, and I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing their stories of where they have been and what they did.  A big well done to all the children, their behaviour was outstanding.

Visitors to school

We have had Cricket Wales in school coaching children cricket skills.

We have also had the Welsh National Opera.  They undertook workshops with our older pupils and in the afternoon gave a performance to the whole school, the children were absolutely amazed and enthralled thoroughly enjoying the whole experience.

Lifeguards – came in and gave a beach safety talk to children, this informative talk gave children practical information on to how to stay safe when at the beach.

Recycling workshops – gave talks on how to be recycling champions.

Residential trips.

Our year 5 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their residential trip to Pendine recently, many of them learnt new skills and faced challenging situations, which they overcame.

We have a residential trip to Dan Y Wenallt for our Year 4 pupils in May, and a residential trip to Morfa Bay for our Year 6 pupils in July.  I’m sure that they will enjoy those as well.

We have Family Learning starting up again next week, and the teachers look forward to working with our children and their parents.

New Build

Work is progressing really quickly on the new school, the plans and a computer generated image of the new school are on show in the Main School Reception.
