FOOTBALL CLUB

UPDATE: 7/6/11

Numbers for football club have sadly dwindled this term and interest seems to have shifted from football to a game that the pupils play during the lunch hour called King Ball. It can be played with any number of participants and is great for improving communication skills, dexterity and spatial awareness. It was first played by Team Goodhall at Llangewydd Junior School and has now become very popular during the lunch hour at Betws Primary school.  I see no reason why we can’t incorporate the game into an after school activity and perhaps aim to set up a King Ball championship against neighbouring schools. King Ball Club will therefore take place after school every Tuesday. No need for special kit, although trainers would be recommended. Football club will return with the start of the new season during Autumn term. Any spare tennis balls for King Ball will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Mr. Howe
